New Beta Programs !

- Beta Hosting Program – Consistent with Morfik’s approach of providing a complete and fully integrated end-to-end service, a customized web hosting service for your XApps will soon be launched. If you are interested in participating in the beta program surrounding this service, please click the Hosting tab on the left of this page and apply.

- Beta Store Program - A Morfik Store has been created so that you can purchase Morfik products and services that you want over the Internet quickly and easily. Prior to making this service generally available we are conducting a beta program to test and fine tune this service for optimal performance. If you are interested in entering the beta program please click the Store tab on the left of this page and apply. We will be rewarding those who assist in testing Morfik Store and its associated subscription services.

WebOS AppsBuilder Release 1.1.0.6

Pioneers now have access to WebOS AppsBuilder release 1.1.0 6, which includes a number of bug fixes and new features among which are:

- An upgrade to the Framework to provide support for Indy 10. Among other things means that it is now possible to call 3rd-party web services from an XApp running on Linux.
- Some productivity enhancements such as Format Painter which allows automatic formatting of controls at design time.

Accordingly, we have made WebOS AppsBuilder 1.0.2.5 accessible to the general public to download (replacing 1.0.1.5). Release notes for 1.0.2.5 are available here.

We have also provided a historical timeline of releases that you may wish to review as it provides some indication of upcoming features and functions.

Morfik featured on ToolBox Cover & CD

The May’s issue of ToolBox CD carries a copy of WebOS AppsBuilder IDE and the magazine has a 4 page article penned by Michaël Van Canneyt.

After going through the main features of the product covering both Morfik’s architecture and usage, Michaël concludes “The main message is that the Morfik IDE represents in the opinion of the author a major milestone in the development of web applications. What sets the Morfik IDE apart from other RAD web solutions is that it introduces a complete independence of HTML and JavaScript, indeed, the language one uses is no longer an issue: All major languages can be used in the Morfik IDE. Where Delphi for PHP (featured elsewhere in this issue) is a RAD around the PHP language, making it a tool of choice for PHP programmers, Morfik is a RAD for many languages, freeing the programmer from the need to start anew – for instance, learning PHP - when he wants to program for the web. As such, Morfik should interest many people that want to develop performance and feature rich web-applications, just as they developed desktop applications: both development and deployment are just as easy.”
